Pantry Setup
These clients just moved into their new home and wanted to start off right an organized pantry. YES! When I started the process I asked my client what was in some of the baking containers and she did a smell test and said “I think that is flour”.🤷🏻♀️ I remedied that with labels on everything! I also added a liner on the wire shelves to allow bins to glide out easily.
Dream Shed
My client hated opening up her shed to find something. Now she opens it up to just look at it! Shelves and labeled bins help to contain everything and slat walls organize all the tools!
Restoring Calm to the Master Bedroom
I’ve been working with this client room by room and have been patiently waiting to tackle her master bedroom. Well not really patiently. She loves clothes, but doesn’t have the space. Converting her closet to hold only seasonal clothes was a game changer! Under bed storage was a must! She finally has a place for everything including her jewelry! She told me that a huge load was lifted off her shoulders once her bedroom was organized.
A Bathtub to Relax in
Your master bath should be a place where you can take a bath and unwind! Once I organized this client’s bathroom, that is exactly what she did that evening. Calm is what I strive for!
Wardrobe to Grow Into
This little girl had the most adorable wardrobe! Many items were shared by family and friends creating a backlog of clothes too big to wear (yet). Solution: Get rid of the bulky bins and add drawers labeled with each clothes size! Perfect!
Utility Closet That Works
This utility closet had too many shelves and not enough space! After removing some shelves and moving many of the items to the garage where they belonged, my client had a closet that she could use.
Garage Clean Up
Every time I finish a project I think ohh this is my favorite, but this one is really my favorite garage transformation (so far ). I did a lot of research to find the best bike storage solution, and my clients loved the Steady Rack Classic Bike Rack. Also, if you have cinder block walls-consider a ceiling mounted rack instead!
Making Room to Play
This client has 3 young girls… add Barbies, princesses, dress up clothes, nowhere to store them and now you have a pink mess! The chaos in this playroom was unsettling for the mom so we developed a plan of action, and found a home for every toy and Barbie accessory. Most importantly we labeled everything making clean up a breeze!
Master Bathroom Transformation
This beautiful master bathroom is now beautifully organized! I used some of my favorite products including stacking cabinet drawers and a large lazy susan. My client was so thrilled she had me organize her kids’ bathrooms.
Basement Clutter
Basements are notorious for becoming dumping grounds, especially when a client likes to collect things! This client stated, “I should have called you right when I moved into the house to get all the organizing systems in place from the beginning.” Yep!
Little Girls Room
How to organized a little girl’s small bedroom: 1) Throw out 10 bags of garbage, 2) Haul away a carload of donations, 3) Find a place for all those stuffed animals, 4) Consolidate craft supplies, and 5) Add polka dot carpet!
Multipurpose Closet
This closet was a catch all for things that didn’t have a home. Dividing the closet into defined spaces helped to keep the clothes, ski gear and household items in an organized space. Add family pictures to help bring a smile to you every time you enter!
Making Space in the Master Closet
This client needed to find space for her boyfriend to move in. She assured me that he only needed 12 inches of hanging space. I did one better and found him a whole dresser and nightstand! However, that was not the biggest challenge-it was her jewelry! 10 organizing trays later-she now has a perfectly organized closet
Pantry Perfection
Maximizing your pantry space, makes meal time a whole lot easier. The key is assigning a home to all your items. To help, organize your pantry into zones such as canned goods, snacks, baking, breakfast, meals, paper products and household items. Just label your bins and you now have a pantry you will enjoy using!
Entryway Organized for Little Ones
This client has 3 young children. Her one request for her entryway was more hooks. You got it! Perfectly hung for pint size kids!
Storage Room Optimized
When there is no dedicated space for your items, your storage room becomes a dumping ground. This becomes the space for items that you do not need, but can’t bare to get rid of (yet). Solution: use weather tight storage bins with labels and dedicate some bins for family memory boxes. Now that memory keepsake has a home!
New Year’s Resolutions
This client was ready to make some New Year Resolutions to stay organized! First up, the heart of the home: kitchen and pantry. Organize those healthy snacks upfront!
Wired Racks and Pantry Snacks
This family of five had a hard time finding their snacks. Mom requested that their healthy snacks be accessible and the sweets be moved up. Of course her 3 little daughters disagreed! Probably the biggest issue I found was the wire racks were allowing things to fall all around. Simply add wire rack shelf liners and problem solved!
Craft Solutions for the Budding Artist
One of the most common requests a home organizer receives is help me with the craft supplies! Add stackable Portable Storage Container Boxes! One for each type of supply: Paint, Crafts, Crayons, Play Doh, Beads, or anything your artist gets into!
Closets: Just Add Shelves
When you do not want to spend money on a custom closet, consider adding some stand alone shelves!
School Lunch Center
School’s in session (wahoo!), but now lunches need to be made (not wahoo). This busy working mom has 4 kids resulting in 20 lunches and 30 snacks a week. Due to her small kitchen, she had nowhere to store all the lunch items she bought each week. After researching pantry options, we settled on this pantry cabinet. All lunch items now have a home and a label on their bins. Problems solved!
Paper Command Center
With the start of the school year, comes the start of the paper chaos! This is a top complaint from busy families, but can be easily remedied with a dedicated paper command center. Each family member gets a labeled bin for papers. In addition, there is a basket for office supplies, To Do items and any other high traffic item. No more late assignments, bills or permission slips!
Storage Room Chaos
When you have a place for everything, you can find what you’re looking for easily! In this storage room, all seasonal items, family memory boxes, and clothes were all contained and labeled. No more buying unnecessary items just because you can’t find them!
Shoe Storage
I’m not going to lie, I had shoe envy while working on this clients shoe collection! This collection had some very elegant shoes, but due to space they were being stored in large bins, in a closet under the stairway. We had to get creative. The Container Store plastic shoe boxes where a perfection solution. For the first time in years, my client was able to see all her shoe choices at once. It felt like Christmas in July!
Linen Closet
When your items do not have a home, your family will just shove anything, anywhere. Adding just a few labeled baskets in this linen closet changes a chaotic space to an organized space!
Small Pantry Solutions
A small pantry can still meet the needs of a busy family. This client complained that the shelves were too deep and the family could never see the items in the back. We added a large Lazy Susan for a top shelf and added bins to roll out shelves, and said good-bye to the lost items in the back!
Closet Take Back
One of the first steps of an organization project is to take inventory of all the items you have. When it comes to a closet, we usually find that we are hanging on to clothes that do not fit us, and are often out of style. Clear them out and open your space to the the things you really love. You will feel like you have a whole new wardrobe!
Garage Overhaul
Any good organizational project should start with a plan. After assessing this clients needs, I determined their garage needed 3 zones: a toy zone, a tool zone and a garden zone. The tool zone was a game changer. Just add clear weather-tight bins and now you get a perfectly organized garage!
10 years of paper clutter
This client had an aversion to throwing out any paper or filing them. As a result, she could not find her papers to file her taxes for the last 4 years. After more than 10 hours of sorting, 10 years worth of papers, 4 folders filled with 4 years of tax papers were delivered to her accountant!
Toy Closet Transformation
For this client seeing a messy closet everyday in her family’s main living space, was frustrating. Although she had some storage bins, the key was to find the right type of storage bins for the right type of space. A great storage solution is the freestanding Elfa drawers from The Container Store. So versatile, they can be used in just about any space that needs organization. Now the whole family looks forward to game night!
Let the creativity flow!
Who doesn’t love an organized craft room? Sort your papers by color. Use baskets and glass storage bins for embellishments and use fun coffee cups to hold all your markers. Just add a little creativity!
Medication Review
When your home organizer is a pharmacist, you have the benefit of getting your medicines organized too! This client is 82 years old and couldn’t remember why she was taking certain medicines. After reviewing all her medicines, disposing of the expired medicines, eliminating discontinued medicines and checking for interactions, I left her with a perfectly organized medication list!
Kitchen Zones
A big part of organizing a kitchen is having all items grouped into zones. After assessing the needs of this client, we determined we needed to create several zones including a Breakfast zone, Baking Zone, Medicine Zone, Pet Zone, Office Supply Zone and, most importantly, 5) a Coffee Zone!
Family Hub
This kitchen cabinet was suppose to be the family hub for this family, but unfortunately it became a dumping ground. One of the biggest needs was an electronic charging station. We added a file stand and color marked the electronic cords. The result, a functioning family hub!
Playroom Clean Up
This client wanted a playroom space that was organized AND pleasing to look at. She initially wanted to hide her mixed matched bins behind curtains, but instead we bought beautiful storage baskets that were both functional and pretty. Her daughter loved that she could find her toys, and her mother loved that the space was beautiful. We left some bins empty just in time for Santa to bring her daughter some more surprises!
Photos at Your Fingertips
This project entailed organizing 20 years of photos. The initial size of the library was 39,349 photos and took 137GB of computer space. After consolidating this client’s photos from 9 different sources we created an organized photo library that was streamlined to a total of 24,597 photos taking up only 89GB of computer space. All photos were organized by Year, Month and Event. Don’t like searching through files? No worries, all photos were tagged with keywords. Use the search bar and find Susie’s 2nd birthday pictures, no problem!
